Tartes & Pop is proud to be the very first French tarts specialist in Hong Kong, combining delicious cakes & pop culture and making traditionally sweet, elegant, and chic French pastries a little bit more fun and funky!
Our owners, Lou Campagna and Thibaut Carminho, began their cake curating careers in 2015 when they found that there were not a lot of great options for French tarts in Hong Kong. Heck, it was even nearly impossible. But this did not sit well with the pair, who were looking to satisfy their sweet tooth cravings.
On top of that, traditional rules of French pastries being cold, uppity, and only for the highest of the high class did not really appeal to Lou and Thibaut either. Why not have a little fun while you bake? Why not smile a bit more, share a few jokes, and create tarts with attitude, spunk, and unique high-quality taste?
Tartes & Pop was way easier to conjure up than they could have ever imagined. Inspired by more than two decades of dedicated pop culture and fun new homemade recipes, a new vision was born. One with a funky spirit, friendly staff, white and orange dotted packaging and more-than-delectable high-class, spirited, and eclectic French tarts.
What started on Morrison Street, Sheung Wan soon blossomed into a bustling business and wonderful friendship.
Today, we have a team of seven, working tirelessly every day to bring you the best French pastries Hong Kong has to offer. Our Pop Chefs craft over 500 tarts a day, from our famous Sesame Matcha tarte to our soothing Earl Grey Orange tarte. We hand-pack them, handle them with care and love, and then personally deliver them to your door, at the perfect temperature and perfect timing.
